The International Forum on Equal Opportunity took place in Bonn , Germany from 4-6 February 2009, kindly organized by the IYAB of the Federal Republic of Germany and Youth for Europe , German Agency for the EU Programme Youth in Action.
The forum presented a good opportunity for youth workers, leaders from countries from the EU and as well Bosnia and Herzegovina , Croatia , Serbia , FYROM, Ukraine , Israel , Georgia and Nigeria , to discuss the topics of integration within a broad context. Interesting part of the seminar was the aims of the organizers to integrate youth with a migration background in and through international projects and to promote the opening towards cultural and social diversity. An additional input was the method used during the seminar – the Open space method, which contributed to the vivid discussions between the participants i.e. to debate on the contributions of International experience to improving equal opportunities for youth with a migration background, to shared experience gained in international youth activities and projects that support the integration of young people with a migration background and to develop concrete projects in the future.
