Partenership Building Activity in Bursa, Turkey

Thre was a great project organised by the Municipality of Osmangazy in Bursa & Uludag between 25 and 30 August 2008. During the 5 days program, we explored the concept of youth participation, learned about the Youth in Action program, and get knowledge to set up our own youth Democracy project. Another aim of the project was to find international parteners, shaqre experience and realise an Action 1.3 Youth Democracy project.
The program contained workshops and performances as well as activities to get to know Bursa, turkish culture and also to get to know each other better and to make connections.
During the program we staied in Kirazli Otel, where the conditions were very good and because we were in the middle of the nature, a bit far from the toen make us to get really close to each other and to learn more about the other cultures, menthalities and so on.
The participants were youth workers and youth leaders in Local Authorities, from 16 different cities from the EU contries, EEA Countries and Candidate countries as: Torino and Rome from Italy, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Buzau for Romania , Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Itanbul, Kocaeli, Antalya, Yildirim and Osamngazi for Turkey. There were 2 participants from each city or country.
We had a great daily program which gave us the opportunity to work a lot but in the same time to have a lot of fun.
One of the magic moments of this project was the press conference in which had also taken part the mayor, in these way our faces and Names were in the local news-papers, but also on the News.
what should I say more???
As usual, the most difficult moment was the separation, and despite the apparentely short time that we spent together, we felt as we leave after almost a life with those wonderful people in that beautiful city and forest (the hotel was in the forest ), but Life is Life and should go on!!
We hope to see them again that why we try to make our first project and invite them to be our parteners for the future.

Again happened the same to me: I forgot to write about food , but you know what I would have written, so it makes no sens to write now about it

So I guess INTERCULTURALITY was the key word in this project So many countries, so little time And it really seems like you had the oportunity to learn lots of useful things . And of course we know the food was the greatest ever... don't worry

this was a great opportunity to explore the concept of youth participation is a very important issue/ idea

it was a very serious program where we really learned a lot of new things about Youth in Action projects
there were 5 long days because of the program: from 8 to 13 - seminary with a 15 min coffee break, and then from 13 to 18 again seminary with another 15 min coffee break. during these days we created a lot of connections with important persons from all the Europe
