"Future in our hands" Tekirdag - Turkey

How to have fun, to make friends and to handle an unforgettable turkish experience!

As beloved Llamia told you, we left Romania as a group of 10. After a lot lot of fun during the trip and in Istanbul, 5 of us - Amy, Claudiu, Kitty , Ionut and last but not the least - the group leader - Edi, reached Tekirdag. A seaside city, hot and peaceful, welcomed us really warm.

After all the teams arrived (they were from Malta, Latvia, Turkey and Bulgaria) it was supposed to begin the project. But it didn't happen. Not only it was not strictly organised, but there also happened something sad - one of our friends from Bulgaria suffered from a severe dehydration. (So DO NOT FORGET" Drink as much water as you can during a hot trip during summer in Turkey!). After the intercultural night, when all the participants sustained and defended their origins, homelands and beliefs fervently, there was another attempt to continue the project. It involved some team work, and the phrase that made us famous "Take one of the romanian guys in your team, they know what to do!"

The next days were full of exciting experiences - trips, sunbathing, swimming in Marmara Sea, intercultural exchanges, teambuilding sessions, learning foreign languages, playing basketball, football, watching movies, listening to music, visiting Tekirdag and so on. It was promissed the adventure of paragliding to us, but sadly just a few leaders had the change to try it.

In the end of the project we formed two teams and tried to shot a clip which had to suggest the connections betwen Turkey and the European Union, involving natives. It was really interesting, stimulated our creativity and esablished better relationships between us.

We were near to tears when we left Tekirdag because we were absolutely sure we were going to miss our new friends, especially the ones from Turkey, who were so close to us.

It was an unbelievable experience for all of us, and the other projects in which our association takes part are the same. These actions are of a great importance for youth, representing the best solution to become open-minded, sociable, creative and assertive. This is how we involve in today's society, this is a start to change the world!

hmn....it's an very good subject... because the young people must to have an idea about the future jobs..cool:)
