| “Attention, please!”-the name of our first project, but my main concern to which I am asking you to pay a little attention for a couple of minutes…it was the very beginning of our youth organization…I still remember how enthusiastic and happy we were when we found out that we were going to leave Romania for the first time in our lives … I would like to mention that this project, this initiation has really put its hallmark on my personality…I was very proud to wear our national costume and to sing, together with my girls, Romanian songs during the cultural night During this project I also changed my way of perceiving nature and environmental problems and learned a valuable lesson- that the feature of the green person is he’s willing to die heroically for a cause, while the trait of the nature is the wish of living modestly in the cause’s job. I would like you to read, to enjoy some of my colleague , Simina’s feelings regarding this project; she managed to describe in a few words what all of us actually felt when we were put in front of a new experience…(and please believe me,i am from the oldest ones;) ) This is only a part from Simina’s word: “ We were only some 15-16 years old kids and it was the first time leaving Romania, and for some of us, the first time leaving home for more that 1 or 2 days without their parents. But we had our friends around us and we had we had our let’s say “protectors”, the 2 leaders, to make us feel safe. Once arrived in Turkey all our preconceived ideas about the country and its inhabitants simply vanished. We instantly became friends with our hosts and our northern friends, the Polish team, surpassing all barriers, be they linguistic ones, cultural ones or of any other nature. We already knew that Turkish cuisine is delicious and we couldn’t wait to try the famous water-pipe, but they were to show us that there is more that good food to Turkey. They showed us an example of sincere loyalty and gratitude for their “ father”, Mustafa Kemal Attaturk, we found out how preoccupied these people were about environmental problems and they amazed us with the warmth they greeted us. That was an amazing opportunity to learn a great deal of things about those people and their customs, but in the same time to show that Romania too is a part of that cultural diversity called Europe. During the cultural night we managed to make a very good impression bringing a piesce of Romania with us: the Romanian flag, a national costume from our area, Buzau’s tree registered European brands and some samples of traditional Easter eggs and hand- made ceramics. Accompanied by Romanian folklore and joie de vivre characteristic to our people, all of these were highly appreciated by the audience. Unfortunately, everything has to end, so after one week we also learned how to say goodbye to those friends, hoping that we would see each other one day. Hope… That is another word that I have been seeing clearer alongside my “adoptive family” called Tineret Buzau 2007.” |

| Izmir... the nostalgia... it's been more than a year since we first stepped foot in Turkey... 8-> It was an unique experience and I am glad I had the chance to participate in that project. It was a stepping stone for most of us and we changed, we hope, for the better | |

| The truth is that our somewhat similar cultures and manner, tipical for the Balkans usually helpe us bond more with Turkish people, so we tend to be a bit subjective when it somes to choosing our favorite partner country . | |
